Jolie Hales grew up in Utah, where she studied Electronic Media and was president of the Weber State University Chamber Choir. Upon graduating Summa Cum Laude, she was honored with the WSU Talent of the Year Award as well as the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award, and recently earned her MFA in Film Directing at Chapman University in Southern California.
  Since her youth, Jolie has written and directed a number of films earning her awards at festivals around the globe, including the President's Award, Best Student Short Film Award, Audience Choice Award, Best Student Comedy Award, and she recently received an acclaimed student Emmy by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for her graduate thesis film, Latter-Day Fake. She currently resides in Orange County, California, where she works as a freelance screenwriter and director, and prepares to make her feature debut in 2010.
